Surfing is Amazing! It will hook you in for life. You will spend Seventy five percent of lesson riding waves. Your instructor will carter to your entire experience. We will be your Sherpa if need be to get you your 20 to 50 waves! The University of Surfing is dedicated to offering and documenting the best surfing experience possible. Learn to surf at Linda Mar in Pacifica, located fifteen minutes south of San Francisco. Lessons are scheduled around low tide for favorable conditions. If these times do not work, we can surf whenever you want, it just might be a bit rougher. We guarantee to teach a few things that will make you entire surfing experience more safe and pleasurable.

“Matt is awesome. I'd attempted to surf a few times on my own and ended up ‘pearl-diving’ my way into frustration. But after one lesson on a Sunday, I was out on my own by Tuesday...and I even got up a few times solo! During the lesson, Matt gets you out on the water almost the whole time and helps with the tough stuff, like paddling out to catch waves. You learn everything from safety, how to get up and ride properly, boards/suits to use as a beginner, where to surf, etiquette and surf lingo. After the lesson he gave me a tide book and an email with tons more valuable info. And best of all, he had a camera attached to my board, so I have great pictures to share of catching 1 foot kahuna waves! I'm going to keep surfing so that my pics will be more impressive for my follow up session. Take a lesson with University of Surfing. You won't regret it.

I do my best to create safe surfers. Something like 75% of people who take surf lesson never do it again.
